Program Note

Serenade is a beautiful and expressive work for string orchestra that seamlessly conveys a sense of openness, tranquility, but also bittersweet sorrow.  The piece exists solely for performers and audience members to absorb the music and create their own response. 

One could form a variety of emotional responses that are highly personal to the listener or performer. The beauty of the work is its malleability in that regard.
